PEACHLAND WARD ANNOUNCEMENTS
As per usual, please note that the Peachland Ward General Conference Study Schedule for the next 6 months is posted on the ward website! LINK HERE. The schedule will allow you to study one or two talks per week from the Oct 2024 session until the next General Conference in April. It’s a great way to review and study all we learned last weekend.
Statement on Political Neutrality
In response to recent inquiries, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reiterates its well-established institutional neutrality regarding political parties and candidates. It “does not endorse, promote or oppose political parties and their platforms or candidates for political office.” See recent press release here. The Church does “encourage its members to play a role as responsible citizens in their communities, including becoming informed about issues and voting in elections.” Are you registered to vote in California? The missionaries will be hosting this Bible and Scripture study now every week on Tuesdays 7 pm at Peachland (24915 Peachland Ave) in the RS Room. Join the Peachland Ward missionaries and friends to learn more about Christ. All invited! Call 661-365-7064 with questions.
