In Memoriam

With sorrow we share the passing of our friend Amy Steffe Lohmann, formerly of the Newhall Ward, passed away on Sunday night, Aug 13, after a long bout with cancer. She had recently moved to Texas. Two informal "Celebration of Life" events will be held. August 27th at her brother's home, open house style, 11 AM - 3 PM, 4052 Hickory Grove Lane, Frisco, TX 75033; September 10 in Newhall, CA (details TBD).

Each Stake in the area is assigned a week to help at DI in LA. We need two volunteers for Sept 8: sign up here. Unlike years past, volunteers can show up anytime from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For safety reasons, please wear long pants and no open-toed shoes. Volunteers can work as many hours as they can.

Peachland Ward Choir

As a reminder, we will not meet this Sunday, September 3rd, but we will meet next week, September 10th.

Choir has restarted! As a follow up for those who haven't heard yet, we will keep rehearsals at 12:30 pm in the RS room, and we will continue to meet every Sunday except Fast Sundays and General Conference; we will need to meet on Stake Conference Sunday, October 8th to review again before our musical number on the 15th. Choir will present a musical number on the 3rd Sunday of each month September through December. On the Sundays we present, we will meet at 9:15 am in the chapel for a last "memory check" and quick warm up before the meeting.

Peachland Ward Activity Days

Will typically be held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month, 7 pm at the Peachland Building. Please be on the lookout for a message from your Activity Day leader regarding details! All primary children turning 8 this year and up are invited to attend.

Book Club

Our next book is "Forty Autumns:A Family's Story of Courage and Survival." Nina Willner. To be held at Katie Hall's home on Sept. 12th at 7 pm.
